Meet CLA's New Worship Pastor, Kim Farmer

Christian Life Assembly is pleased to introduce and welcome our new Worship Pastor, Kim Farmer. Kim is a resident of Gibsonville with his wife, Cynthia, and daughter, Eva. Kim has a wealth of experience in leading and developing worship ministries in the local church. His first Sunday with Christian Life Assembly will be Sunday, March 7 at 10:45 AM.

The Grand Finale

The world is rapidly changing before our eyes. Could the Bible have information that relates to what we see happening day after day? Pastor Bruce points to the signs of the times and shows us the Lord's return could be close at hand! It id a wake up call for Christ-followers and unbelievers alike. Join us for this 6 part series, entitled, The Grand Finale! Together, we will discover what the Bible uncovers about Israel and the Middle East, the Rapture, and the rise of the anti-Christ. 2010 Spiritual Life Covenant

The coming of a new year presents us with a new opportunity to improve our spiritual health and vitality. Everyone at CLC is invited to participate in our 2010 Spiritual Life Covenant, which includes:

• Private Devotions for 4 days a week.
• Read through the Bible during 2010.
• Participate in at least one small group Bible Study, such as a Sunday morning Bible Fellowship.
• Practice Fasting and Prayer for 1 meal a week.

I continue to recommend the Discipleship Journal One-Year Plan, which we have adapted for our congregation. This Bible Reading Plan offers special features that will aid you in you journey through the Bible:

• By reading from four separate places in the Scripture every day you should be able to better grasp the unity of the Scriptures, as well as enjoy the variety of seeing four different viewpoints.
• You can begin at any point of the year
• To prevent the frustration of falling behind, which most of us tend to do when following a Bible reading plan, each month of this plan gives you only 25 readings. Since you'll have several "free days" each month, you could set aside Sunday to either not read at all or to catch up on any readings you may have missed in the past week.
• If you finish the month's readings by the 25th, you could use the final days of the month to study passages that challenged or intrigued you.
• If reading through the entire Bible in one year looms as too large a task, you can alter the plan to meet your needs. For example, you could read the gospels and the wisdom books this year, and the other two categories next year.
• In the year ahead, ask God each day to speak directly to you from the Scripture portions you read. Be expectant, and let your continual exposure to God's Word reshape your attitudes and behavior as you gain a better understanding of every part of His written testimony to us.

In addition, bookmarks have been created to aid you in your commitment to read through the Bible each year. Each day you'll read from four sections of Scripture, so four sets of bookmarks have been created to help you. You may download your own bookmark and print it for yourself or pick one up in the church foyer.
